Iris reticulata ‘Purple Hill’ is a vibrant dwarf iris cultivar showcasing rich purple flowers with striking yellow markings on the falls, creating a dramatic contrast that brightens early spring gardens. Blooming from December to May, this variety offers an extended flowering period that brings much-needed colour to rock gardens, borders, and containers during the colder months. Preferring full sun and well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil, ‘Purple Hill’ thrives best in sheltered spots that protect its delicate blooms from harsh winds. Easy to grow and low maintenance, it naturalises well and reliably returns each year, making it an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a splash of vivid colour in compact spaces. Its compact size and vivid flowers make it a popular choice for enhancing both traditional and contemporary garden designs.
